You can get here by road.The Highway number 401 Surat thani-Takuapa until kilometer number 57th- 58th. About 12 km. from the Highway to park headquarters.
The Chiew Lan Dam was built in 1982 for the generation of hydro electric power. The lake covers an area of 165 sq. km. and as it was filled over 100 islands were formed, Sharp limestone cliffs rise from the water and early morning mist provides excellent photographic opportunities. There is park accommodation at the Rajjaphapa Dam two raft houses on the lake form which treks into the forest can be arranged with park rangers. There are three caves within a few hours trek of smaller raft house (tone teuy)
# “Namtaloo Cave” a forest stream flows into this cave which has beautiful formations typical of limestone cave scener including stalactites and brimstone pools.
# “Bat Cave” home to many bat species, the entrance to this cave is perched hight on a cliff face.
# “Seeroo Cave” four converging passageways meet in this cave which was used as a hide-out for communist groups between 1975-1982.
